Somebody who had never heard of you opened DigiOne, searched, and bought your thing. You did not run an ad, did not post, did not send anything. Reaching that buyer cost money — and it was our money.
This rate applies when
- They found you through Discover search
- They were browsing a category and stopped on you
- Our ads or emails put you in front of them
- You were surfaced beside creators they already follow

A sale on your own site uses our servers. A sale on Discover uses our servers and our audience — and the second one is the part nobody talks about the cost of. None of this is free to run, and none of it stops costing money in a month where nothing sells.
The traffic itself
Ads, search, the emails that go out when something new lands. Getting a stranger to a page they were not looking for is the single most expensive thing on this list — and on Discover, we pay for it instead of you.
Servers that stay up
Discover is a live catalogue with search and categories over every published product. It runs, gets indexed, and answers instantly on a phone in a train at three in the morning, whether or not anything sold today.
Storage and delivery
Your files sit on object storage and go out over a CDN, and every download is a fresh signed URL minted against a real entitlement. Bandwidth is billed by the gigabyte, and a popular product is not cheap to hand over.
The payment rails
UPI, cards, net banking and wallets each carry a gateway charge on every single attempt. It comes out of our share — never stacked on top of yours, and never passed to your buyer.
Someone actually reading
A public marketplace has to be checked. Listings get reviewed, payouts get approved by a person, and buyers who cannot open what they paid for get answered.
The tax paperwork
A marketplace has to withhold under §194-O and §52, issue a bill of supply per sale, and produce statements at year end. That machinery is built, run and audited on our side.
The fee is the whole charge. No listing fee, no gateway surcharge stacked on top, nothing annual, and nothing added to what your buyer pays. Refund a sale and our cut of the refunded amount comes back to you as well — a refund never leaves you out of pocket.
The plan only moves

So which fee am I actually paying?
Whichever one matches how the buyer arrived. If they came through a link you shared — your storefront, your bio, a payment link, a DM — that is your plan rate. If they found you by browsing Discover, it is the Discover rate. It is decided per sale, not per account, and both can happen on the same day.

Why is Discover so much more expensive?
Because on Discover we did the expensive part. Finding a buyer who has never heard of you costs real money — advertising, search, email — and Discover spends it so you do not have to. On your own site that cost was already yours, so we do not charge you for it twice.

Can I just turn Discover off?
Yes. A product can be sold only through your own pages if that is what you want, and nothing about your storefront changes. You keep the lower rate and you keep the audience you already have — you simply stop being shown to the ones you do not.

What does this cost me if I sell nothing?
Nothing at all on Free. No monthly fee, no listing fee, no time limit, and being listed on Discover costs nothing — the fee only exists on a sale that actually happened.

When do I get my money?
Your balance moves the moment a payment clears. Verify your bank details once, then ask for a payout whenever the balance is worth moving. It is not automatic and it is not instant — a person checks each payout before it goes out.

How do my buyers pay?
Any UPI app — PhonePe, GPay, Paytm, BHIM — plus credit and debit cards, net banking and wallets. Everything is priced and settled in rupees, so nothing gets converted and your buyer never sees an amount they have to think about.

Do you handle the tax side?
Yes, and this is the part most platforms leave you with. The tax a marketplace has to withhold is worked out on each sale and shown to you as it happens. You get a bill of supply for every sale, a monthly invoice for what DigiOne charged you, and a yearly earnings statement to hand your CA.

Can I switch plans later?
Both ways, whenever you like. Moving up takes effect straight away, and the lower rate applies from that moment. Moving down starts at your next billing date, so you keep what you have already paid for until then.

What happens to my work if I move back to Free?
Nothing is deleted. Every page you have published stays up and every buyer keeps their access — you simply cannot make new ones until you are back inside the Free limits.

Is there a free trial?
There is no trial, because Free is not a trial — it does not expire. Sell on it for as long as you like and move up when the limits start getting in your way.
